The majestic Golden Gate Bridge will become a symbol of acceptance and celebration from June 10th to 12th, 2023. This extraordinary display is organized by the San Francisco Pride Board in collaboration with the Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District. It marks the second year that the bridge has been transformed into a canvas of pride, following its inaugural illumination in 2022. “The rainbow lights on the Golden Gate Bridge are a powerful symbol of our city’s commitment to diversity and inclusivity,” said Fred Lopez, Executive Director of the San Francisco Pride Board. “This year’s display is particularly poignant as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a pivotal moment in the LGBTQ+ rights movement.” The bridge’s iconic towers and cables will be lit up with vibrant red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet, creating a stunning spectacle visible from across the Bay Area.
