The star-studded event will feature performances by Grammy Award-winning singer Chaka Khan and Broadway star Sutton Foster. The gala, titled “A Night for the Arts,” will celebrate the power of the performing arts and its impact on the Cleveland community. Proceeds from the event will support Playhouse Square’s mission to present world-class theater, music, and dance performances. “We are so excited to welcome Chaka Khan and Sutton Foster to Playhouse Square for this special evening,” said Playhouse Square President and CEO Gina Vernaci. “These legendary performers represent the best of the performing arts, and we are thrilled to honor them while raising funds to support our mission.” Chaka Khan is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter known for her powerful vocals and iconic hits such as “I’m Every Woman” and “Ain’t Nobody.” She has sold over 20 million records worldwide and has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sutton Foster is a two-time Tony Award-winning actress and singer known for her roles in Broadway musicals such as “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and “Anything Goes.” She has also starred in television shows such as “Younger” and “Bunheads.” In addition to the performances by Chaka Khan and Sutton Foster, the gala will include a cocktail reception, dinner, and a live auction featuring exclusive items and experiences.
