The “Wichita Wonders” maze, located within the gardens’ 140-acre campus, features more than 800,000 sunflowers towering up to 12 feet tall. The maze covers over an acre of land, creating an intricate and visually stunning labyrinth. Families and individuals can explore the maze’s winding paths, taking in the vibrant colors and sweet fragrance of the blooms. The maze is designed to be challenging yet accessible, with two different paths to choose from: one for younger visitors and one for more adventurous explorers. In addition to the maze, the Wichita Gardens offers a variety of other sunflower-themed attractions. Visitors can stroll through the sprawling sunflower fields, enjoy live music, and participate in sunflower-related crafts and activities. There are also food and beverage vendors on-site. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we are excited to share with our community,” said Wichita Gardens Executive Director Brenda Williams. “The Wichita Wonders maze is a testament to the beauty and wonder of nature, and it offers a fun and educational experience for all.” The sunflower maze is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm until September 11th. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for children ages 6-11, and free for children under 5. Visitors are encouraged to bring sunscreen, water, and comfortable walking shoes.
