Seattle’s Space Needle to Host Annual “Climb for a Cause” EventSeattle’s Space Needle to Host Annual “Climb for a Cause” Event Seattle’s iconic Space Needle is set to host its annual “Climb for a Cause” event on September 10th, 2023. This highly anticipated fundraising event brings together hundreds of participants to climb the Needle’s 848 steps for a worthy cause. This year, the event will benefit the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (SCCA), a renowned cancer care and research center. Funds raised will support the SCCA’s mission to provide exceptional care to cancer patients and advance the fight against cancer. “The Climb for a Cause is a unique opportunity for our community to come together and support a vital cause while experiencing one of Seattle’s most iconic landmarks,” said Ron Sommer, General Manager of the Space Needle. “We are honored to host this event and contribute to the SCCA’s mission.” Participants in the Climb for a Cause will be treated to stunning views of the city and surrounding landscape as they make their way to the Observation Deck. Along the climb, participants will receive encouragement and support from volunteers and fellow climbers. “We are thrilled to be the beneficiary of this year’s Climb for a Cause,” said Dr. Lisa Coussens, Director of the SCCA. “The funds raised will make a significant impact on our ability to provide innovative and compassionate care to our patients.” Registration for the Climb for a Cause is now open. Individuals and teams are encouraged to sign up and make a donation to support the SCCA. Participants can choose to climb the steps or take the elevator to the Observation Deck. In addition to the climb, the event will feature a variety of activities, including live music, food, and vendor booths. Participants are also encouraged to dress in costume or create a team theme to add to the festive atmosphere. “The Climb for a Cause is a challenging but rewarding experience,” said last year’s participant, Sarah Jones. “It’s an inspiring event that brings people together for a great cause.” Registration and donation details can be found on the Space Needle’s website.
