The ceremony commenced with a solemn tribute to Officer Ryan Bonaminio, who was killed in the line of duty in 2010. His family members were present and received a plaque in his memory. Several officers were recognized for their bravery and quick thinking. Officer David Lynch was awarded the Medal of Valor for rescuing a woman from a burning building. Officer Jessica Martinez received the Lifesaving Award for performing CPR on an unresponsive man, saving his life. Lieutenant Michael Meuser was presented with the Chief’s Recognition Award for his leadership and dedication to the department. He was instrumental in implementing several community outreach programs. “We are incredibly proud of our officers who put their lives on the line every day to protect our community,” said Police Chief Sergio Diaz. “Their bravery, selflessness, and commitment to excellence are truly inspiring.” The ceremony also included a moment of silence for all law enforcement officers who have fallen in the line of duty. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Honor Guard performed a flag folding ceremony and Taps. Local dignitaries, community members, and families of the honorees attended the event. The ceremony served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers and the importance of recognizing their unwavering service.
